We’re looking for a smart, driven individual to lead our Strategic Finance (FP&A) function. You will have a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and use quantitative insights to drive better decision-making across the organization. Strategic Finance owns the company’s budget and financial planning, performs financial analyses, provides guidance for investments, and helps maximize impact in our largest cost centers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.

What You'll Do

• Maintain financial models and forecasts to support Affirm’s long-term financial health, advising on growth, hiring, spending, and strategic projects.
• Oversee loan volume forecasting, compensation planning, and identify growth opportunities in lending and new products.
• Lead annual and monthly financial planning aligned with technology and commercial roadmaps.
• Provide budget guidance to senior leadership to ensure strategic investments and desired outcomes.
• Develop key metrics supporting hiring, expansion, and profitability goals.
• Manage a high-performing, cross-functional team.
• Create programs and processes for budget tracking and management with senior leaders.

What We Look For

• 15+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.
• FP&A experience at a mature private or public company.
• Experience in highly regulated industries or high-growth environments.
• Understanding of lending P&L and debt capital markets.
• Proven management skills with a talent for mentoring.
• Creative and critical thinking in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with senior leadership and boards.

Base Pay Grade: W
Equity Grade: 24
Annual salary range: $340,000 - $380,000
Note: New employees typically start at the beginning of the pay range. Compensation includes benefits such as equity, stipends, and health coverage. Visa sponsorship is not available.
