We’re looking for a smart, driven individual to lead our Strategic Finance (FP&A) function. You will have a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and use quantitative insights to drive better decision-making across the organization. Strategic Finance is responsible for owning the company’s budget and financial planning processes, performing financial analyses, providing financial guidance for business investments, and maximizing spend impact in our largest cost centers to accelerate growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.

What You'll Do

• Maintain our financial model and forecasts to guide Affirm’s long-term financial strength, advising on growth, hiring, spending, and strategic projects.
• Oversee loan volume forecasting, compensation planning, and driving growth opportunities in lending and new products.
• Drive annual and monthly financial planning processes aligned with Technology and Commercial roadmaps.
• Provide budget guidance to senior executives to ensure strategic investments and desired outcomes.
• Develop key metrics to support hiring, expansion, and profitability goals.
• Manage a high-performance team working cross-functionally across the company.
• Develop programs and processes for tracking and managing budgets with senior division leaders.

What We Look For

• 15+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.
• Prior FP&A experience at a later-stage private or public company.
• Experience operating in a highly regulated industry or high-growth environment.
• Understanding of lending P&L and debt capital markets.
• Skilled manager with a passion for mentoring and team development.
• Ability to think creatively and critically in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with senior leadership and board members.

Location - Remote U.S.

Base Pay Grade - W

Equity Grade - 24

New employees typically start at the beginning of the pay range. Affirm offers a transparent pay structure based on location, experience, and skills. Compensation includes base salary, equity rewards, stipends for health and tech expenses, and benefits such as comprehensive health coverage.

USA base pay range per year: $340,000 - $380,000
