We’re seeking a smart, driven individual to lead our Strategic Finance (FP&A) function. This role offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and use quantitative insights to inform decision-making across the organization. Strategic Finance owns the company’s budget and financial planning, performs analyses, provides financial guidance, and ensures strategic investment to accelerate growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

What You'll Do

1. Maintain financial models and forecasts to guide Affirm’s long-term financial strength, advising on growth, hiring, spending, and strategic projects.
2. Oversee loan volume forecasting, compensation planning, and growth opportunities in lending and new products.
3. Drive annual and monthly financial planning aligned with technology and commercial roadmaps.
4. Provide budget guidance to senior executives to ensure effective investment and desired outcomes.
5. Develop key metrics supporting hiring, expansion, and profitability goals.
6. Manage a high-performance, cross-functional team.
7. Create programs and processes for budget tracking and management with senior leaders.

What We Look For

• 15+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.
• FP&A experience at a late-stage private or public company.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry or high-growth environment.
• Understanding of lending P&L and debt capital markets.
• Strong managerial skills with a passion for mentoring.
• Ability to think creatively and critically in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with leadership and board members.

Base Pay Grade: W

Equity Grade: 24

Annual salary range: $340,000 - $380,000, with additional benefits including equity, stipends, and comprehensive health coverage.
