We’re looking for a smart, driven individual to lead our Strategic Finance (FP&A) function. You will have a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and use quantitative insights to drive better decision-making across the organization. Strategic Finance is responsible for owning the company’s budget and financial planning processes, performing financial analyses, providing financial guidance, and investing strategically to accelerate our business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

What You'll Do

1. Maintain our financial model and forecasts to guide Affirm’s long-term financial health, advising on growth, hiring, spending, and strategic projects.
2. Oversee loan volume forecasting, compensation planning, and identify growth opportunities in lending and new products.
3. Drive annual and monthly financial planning aligned with Technology and Commercial roadmaps.
4. Provide budget guidance to senior executives to ensure strategic investments and desired outcomes.
5. Develop key metrics supporting hiring, expansion, and profitability goals.
6. Manage a high-performance, cross-functional team.
7. Develop programs for tracking and managing budgets with senior leaders.

What We Look For

• 15+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.
• FP&A experience at a late-stage private or public company.
• Experience in a highly regulated or high-growth environment.
• Understanding of lending P&L and debt capital markets.
• Strong managerial skills with a focus on mentoring and team development.
• Ability to think creatively and critically in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with senior leadership and board members.

Base Pay Grade - W

Equity Grade - 24

Annual salary range: $340,000 - $380,000. Additional benefits include equity, stipends, and comprehensive health coverage.
