Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Scrum Leader to join the Managed Account Solutions platform in Berwyn, PA (with options for Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL). You will optimize delivery, remove impediments, and guide teams toward value-driven increments while partnering with Product Owners and leaders to stabilize the program backlog.

The role emphasizes coaching, data-driven decision making, and executive collaboration to drive continuous improvement across large-scale initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 4-8 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Scrum Leader, or Agile delivery professional supporting software development teams and large-scale initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and practices including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, and Lean principles.
• Proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders, facilitate effective collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to identify and make visible dependencies, risks, and impediments, helping teams navigate obstacles and escalating when needed to maintain delivery flow.
• Experience with Agile engineering practices and tools, including User Stories, Jira, Confluence, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing.

Responsibilities

• Optimize delivery, proactively manage flow, and navigate complex organizational relationships.
• Ensure Scrum principles and practices are followed, and Scrum events are productive and timeboxed.
• Remove impediments and track team dependencies to keep delivery flowing.
• Facilitate and guide teams to deliver increments of value and meet daily/iteration goals.
• Work with Product Owners and leaders to manage the program backlog and foster innovation.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on prioritization and commitment management during changing priorities.
• Use delivery metrics to identify improvement opportunities and improve predictability.
• Foster accountability, transparency, retrospectives, and a culture of learning and adaptation.
