The Vice President, Sales role is to develop a sales and business development strategy that focuses on growing Micron’s business, increasing its revenue, optimizing internal and external networks and resources to find new opportunities, and building our brand in the market.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develops and executes sales programs, both short and long range, to ensure profit growth and the utilization or expansion of company manufacturing solutions and/or services.
- Identifies key market segments and specific accounts to penetrate to balance the opportunity win cycle associated with FDA compliant manufacturing.
- Performs direct selling efforts by identifying prospects and converting new opportunities and accounts into new business.
- Develops outbound selling campaigns to identify and secure new accounts and opportunities.
- Works with the Micron leadership team to develop strategic plans for creating new revenue opportunities.
- Utilizes and enhances Micron’s sales process, working with inside and outside sales resources to align with company goals.
- Ensures CVMs are in place for all accounts by gathering necessary information to prepare winning proposals that meet margin expectations.
- Prepares and delivers proposals for manufacturing, tooling, and engineering services on time, collaborating with internal resources and suppliers.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to customers to enhance brand recognition.
- Analyzes and recommends pricing strategies to drive sales growth and maintain preferred margins.
- Adheres to all company policies and acts as a role model in policy compliance.
- Has a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 13485 and cGMP 21 CFR Part 820 compliance.
- Prepares sales activity reports with 0-3 year projections using tools like HUBSPOT.
- Maintains Micron Sales Funnel to track account activity status.
- Maintains awareness of competitors, market expansions, customer needs, industry trends, and standards.
- Participates in and/or leads marketing campaigns, generating materials such as presentations, brochures, and social media content.
- Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize competitive risks.
- Travels locally, domestically, or internationally to communicate with existing and potential customers.
- Works remotely, with occasional visits to Micron HQ for meetings.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in sales of FDA plastic injection components, assembly services, or orthopedic implants.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration; postgraduate coursework related to sales or industry is a plus.
- Existing contacts to accelerate the sales cycle.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, public speaking, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Drive for innovation.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer facilities.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
