Job Description:Overview:This role provides leadership and client management for delivery of infrastructure projects. This role oversees multiple project management teams, drives client relationships with agencies such as DOT and municipalities, and ensures technical and financial excellence across complex, multi-discipline projects. The position combines strategic business development, team mentorship, and operational oversight to sustain and grow the firm’s transportation practice.Responsibilities:Lead multiple project management teams, providing direction on workload, scheduling, QA/QC, and technical executionBuild and strengthen senior-level relationships with DOT, municipalities, and other clients to win and deliver high-impact projectsOversee multi-discipline consultant teams throughout project development and designDrive business growth by securing new contracts including development of solicitation response, expanding existing relationships, and cross-selling firm servicesExecuting the teams strategic plan including growth goals, employee development, and client engagementEnsure financial success by managing utilization, backlog, invoicing, AR, and project budgetsMentor and develop team members, fostering career growth and professional excellenceRepresent the firm at industry events, conferences, and professional organizationsQualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)15+ years of progressive, multi-discipline experience in design managing transportation projects from conception to completionProven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships, with a strong focus on DOT and municipal projectsDemonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teamsStrong financial acumen with experience managing large-scale budgets and driving profitabilityExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company at senior levelsActive participation in professional and civic organizations, with a commitment to giving back to the engineering profession and communityEEO Statement:All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
