Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
SafelyYou is seeking a Vice President of Product to lead the product management team, owning the entire portfolio and aligning it with company strategy in a fully remote US-based role.
You will drive a single customer-facing roadmap, partner across Sales, Marketing, and Strategy, and shape investment decisions for AI/ML, hardware, and cloud software products, ensuring disciplined delivery and market impact.
SafelyYou is a mission-driven technology company founded in 2015, spun out of UC Berkeley's Artificial Intelligence Research Lab. Inspired by CEO George Netscher's own family experience with Alzheimer's disease, the company builds world-leading AI, industry-changing hardware, and remote expert clinician services to empower safer, more person-centered care across senior living. SafelyYou addresses critical challenges including resident falls, ER visits, staffing concerns, length of stay, and net operating income, helping communities improve care while reaching their financial goals. The company has been named to Fortune's Impact 20 list, recognised as a McKnight's Tech Partner of the Year, and is one of five most innovative fall technologies referenced in the Senate Falls Report (2019).
SafelyYou's product works, but the way it is built has not kept pace with the company's ambitions. As Vice President of Product, you lead the product management team and own the entire product portfolio. You report into the CPTO, who sets overall direction, and work daily alongside the VP of Engineering, who owns delivery. Your mandate is product execution: one committed roadmap, clear investment allocation, and disciplined decisions about which bets get funded, changed, or stopped. You inherit a capable team that is ready for a stronger operating model, and part of the job is deciding what to keep, rebuild, and stop. You will also work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, the clinical team, Operations, and Strategy. Operators across senior living are choosing their technology partners for the next decade, and you will have a seat at the leadership table as SafelyYou earns that choice.
You own the numbers that matter most to the business. You are accountable for SafelyYou's measurable impact on operator net operating income per resident, proven with outcome data across each care setting. You build Wellness AI and staffing intelligence into scaled product lines alongside the existing Safety AI offering. You are also responsible for doubling the rate of committed features launched to customers within the next year, measured by release to market and adoption rather than tickets closed. You maintain a single customer-facing roadmap tied to company objectives, so that Sales sells only what is committed. You allocate investment across customer-facing teams, shared platforms covering AI, data and integrations, devices, and hardware, and longer-horizon bets, making stage-gate calls based on evidence.Together with the VP of Engineering, you run annual strategy, quarterly planning, and published decision rights, and you build the operational support that product managers need to stay focused on outcomes. You drive partner adoption so that SafelyYou insights reach caregivers inside the EHR and eCall systems they already use.You set clear accuracy and false-alarm standards, embed privacy by design, and ensure evidence is in place before anything reaches the field. You are present with the company's largest operators, shape pricing and packaging with Sales and Marketing, and represent product at industry events and with investors. You coach, level, and hire product managers, building a bench of future leaders.
The hard requirement is that you have led product managers through an operating-model change, such as a transition from functional teams to outcome and platform teams, on products that combine hardware, AI/ML, and cloud software. You bring 10 or more years in product, including at least 5 years leading PMs across multiple product areas. You have shipped AI/ML, hardware, and platform or partner-ecosystem products to market, including experience with stage-gated development, certification, and field reliability. You have enterprise B2B credibility and have carried a product number rather than simply supported one. You are a decisive player-coach and a clear writer who earns engineering's respect. Healthcare or senior living experience and familiarity with regulated products such as HIPAA and life-safety requirements are strongly preferred but considered learnable.
This role is fully remote. Candidates must be located in the United States.
The salary range for this role is $260,000 to $280,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
