Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Vice President of Philanthropy to lead and direct a growing development program. The role partners with hospital and system leadership to identify funding priorities, and engages medical staff and boards to broaden the impact of philanthropy.

The VP will manage a portfolio of high-level donors, design cultivation and stewardship initiatives, and drive front-line fundraising results across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing and developing a successful fundraising program.
• Proven ability to close major, principal and foundation gifts with cultivation, solicitation and stewardship experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the mission and its case for philanthropic support throughout the community.
• Designs and implements annual and multiyear goals and objectives for fundraising.
• Leads and mentors a team to maximize major gift fundraising opportunities.
• Partners with executive leadership, President, and Board to foster a culture of philanthropy.
• Manages a portfolio of high-level prospects and donors.
