Vice President of Sales
Location: Remote
An established and growing contract manufacturing organization specializing in complex therapeutic solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead commercial strategy across North America.
This position, you will be responsible for expanding commercial partnerships across active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), finished drug products, and peptide manufacturing services—while guiding and developing a results-driven sales team.
- Lead, mentor, and expand the North American commercial team across sales, business development, and marketing functions.
- Work closely with executive leadership to align sales goals with broader company objectives and long-term strategy.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market intelligence, prospecting, industry events, and strategic outreach.
- Oversee the entire customer lifecycle—from initial contact and qualification through to quotation, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Serve as a key liaison during client site visits, presentations, and audits.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and technical teams to ensure the company’s service offerings are clearly understood and accurately represented.
- Support the development of commercial materials, digital content, and participation in industry trade shows and conferences.
- Maintain accurate customer data and activity reports using CRM tools and provide regular performance updates to leadership.
- Contribute to regional marketing initiatives, including the design and execution of lead generation campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field (strongly preferred).
- Over 5 years of experience in CDMO sales and 2 plus years in peptide-focused CDMO sales
- Prior leadership experience managing commercial or sales teams.
- Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical development process from clinical through commercial stages.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with fluency in English
- Self-driven, customer-focused, and highly collaborative with the ability to work across cultures and time zones.
- Must be able to work remotely and travel regularly for client meetings, conferences, and internal team events (estimated travel 30–40%).
