We are looking for a VP of Product to own product strategy and the Product team for our consumer App end-to-end. The App is where tens of millions of customers experience the platform every day-onboarding, trading, wallets, cards, and the journeys that turn acquisition into retained, multi-product users. Your work shows up in engagement, volume, and whether we win or lose share in a crowded market.
Your mandate is to set App product strategy, run the Product org that executes it, and hold the bar on outcomes: activation, retention, trading volume, earn, multi-product adoption globally. You decide what we build, in what order, and which bets we kill. You also decide how the team is structured, who owns what, and who grows into bigger charters.
You will run App product strategy with independence. You set roadmaps, prioritization, and org design for Product on the App. You report to the Head of the product, who sets company-level product direction and portfolio bets. You own the how, the when, and the team that delivers.
If you've led a product for a scaled consumer fintech or trading app, parts of this will feel familiar. The difference is breadth and pace: one App spanning regulated onboarding, retail trading, and adjacent products-where the rails keep moving and the playbook is yours to write
What you owned:
- Set App product strategy. You define the multi-horizon strategy for the consumer App: where we win, what we refuse to build, and how product bets map to growth, engagement, and revenue. Strategy that doesn't change the roadmap is theater-yours won't stay in a deck.
- Own the App product portfolio. You are the DRI for what ships across App product surfaces. You make the call when charters collide, when compliance constrains ambition, and when everything can't ship at once. Nothing material goes live without your sign-off on priority and bar.
- Build and lead the Product team. You hire, coach, and hold accountable Product Managers across Trading, Onboarding & Growth, Cards, etc. You set the operating cadence, raise the quality bar on discovery and specs, and grow IC talent into owners.
- Drive outcomes, not feature throughput. You instrument the funnels that matter, size opportunities, and force the team to prioritize by impact. You ask "Show me how customers currently do this," not "Would they use this feature?" Ownership isn't shipping tickets-it's moving the numbers.
- Cut the hard cross-charter tradeoffs. You weigh retail clarity vs. power-user depth, speed vs. platform quality, and local market needs vs. a coherent global App-and you own the decision when squads disagree.
- Represent App Product across the company. You are the product voice in forums with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, Compliance, Risk, and Growth. Alignment is your job; escalation is the exception. You keep strategic priorities honest when delivery pressure tries to dilute them.
- Raise the craft bar. You define what good looks like for PRDs, discovery, experimentation, and launch readiness. You model AI-native product workflows with human-in-the-loop judgment-required, not optional-and expect the same from your team.
Requirements:
- Product leadership at scale. You have led Product for a consumer app or multi-squad product org (as Head of Product, Group PM, or equivalent) and can point to the strategy you set, the team you built, and the outcomes that moved–and what you did when the plan broke.
- Strategy that ships. You can describe a time you chose a product bet, killed competing work, and got Engineering, Design, and GTM aligned-with a number that proved the call was right (or taught you when it wasn't).
- People leadership with a high bar. You have hired and developed Product Managers, and can explain how you raised quality, handled underperformance, and created clear ownership without becoming a bottleneck.
- Consumer fintech or trading depth. You have owned customer-facing financial products-trading, wallets, payments, or regulated consumer platforms-and can discuss customer behavior, risk/compliance tradeoffs, and growth mechanics without coaching.
- Data-informed, user-obsessed. You instrument funnels, size opportunities, and prioritize without waiting for someone to hand you the analysis-always through a clear view of how real customers behave.
- Cross-functional leadership without theater. You can describe a time you aligned Eng, Design, Compliance, Marketing, and Growth toward a hardship date-and how you unblocked the system when it stalled.
Preferred:
- Crypto retail products: Hands-on leadership on spot, perpetuals, or adjacent crypto trading accelerates ramp into the App's core loops.
- Multi-product consumer platforms: Experience connecting onboarding, trading, cards, or rewards into one coherent App journey.
- Global / multi-market launches: You've adapted strategy and UX across regulatory regimes without fragmenting the product.
- Org built in high-growth environments: You've scaled a Product team through a growth phase and can talk about structure, leveling, and operating cadence with specifics.
