Job summary

Titan Security is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee scheduling, account management, client relations and field supervision across residential and multi-family markets in Chicago. This role ensures best-in-class service and aligns operations with company goals.

You will collaborate with regional leaders and HR to drive performance, lead onboarding, reviews, and reporting while maintaining strong client relationships and a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of security operations experience and 4 years of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in residential/multi-family service sector; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Build, grow, and drive customer relationships.
  • Oversee scheduling, field supervision, portfolio management, and supporting functions.
  • Set metrics with Region VP and Region President; assess performance of operations teams.
  • Schedule, conduct, and manage recurring meetings to drive service excellence.
  • Oversee annual reviews and coaching; document performance.
  • Review disciplinary issues with HR and operations staff.
  • Support HR in hiring, onboarding, and exit processes.
  • Explain policies, benefits, and procedures to staff and applicants as needed.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on personnel activities and trends.
  • Track equipment and ensure proper usage according to policy.
  • Stay current on federal/state/local guidelines (CBA-related where applicable).
  • Support culture and processes enabling staff contributions to goals.
  • Review new business opportunities with sales to align with growth goals.
  • Prepare internal/external correspondence and memos as needed.
  • Support Chicago and surrounding suburbs in on-site offices (not remote).
  • Engage in networking groups for residential/multi-family markets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Vice President of Operations

The VP of Operations is primarily responsible for overseeing operational support functions including scheduling, account management, client relations, and field supervision supporting our residential/multifamily markets. Additionally, the VP of Operations will work directly with Operations and Scheduling Managers and the HR department to ensure Titan provides “Best-In-Class service” to our residential and multi‑family clients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Build, grow, and drive customer relationships.
  • Responsible for operational excellence and development of the operating teams including scheduling, field supervision, portfolio management and other supporting functions.
  • Works with Region Vice President and Region President to set key metrics and goals to assess performance of operations teams.
  • Schedules, conducts, and manages recurring group and individual meetings to drive service excellence and achievement of client and company goals.
  • Oversees annual review process for operations teams, including documentation of positive and negative performance, informal coaching and team member development.
  • Reviews disciplinary issues with operating teams to ensure compliance with company and union guidelines. Consults with HR to review concerns and questions.
  • Supports operating teams and HR in review of involuntary terminations including coordinating and conducting exit interviews, assisting with unemployment claims, union grievances and appeals
  • Supports operating teams in hiring, training and on‑boarding. Troubleshoots and remove barriers to hiring challenges and onboarding issues.
  • Explains company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to all staff and job applicants, as needed.
  • Compile and prepare internal and external reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities and account trends
  • Responsible for tracking company equipment in the field including technology, vehicles, etc. and ensuring company equipment is utilized in accordance with applicable policies
  • Stays current on federal, state and local CBA guidelines relative to our services
  • Supports the organization’s culture, processes, practices and systems to ensure that all employees are given the opportunity to contribute to the business goals of the company and its clients
  • Review new business opportunities with sales team members, reviewing alignment with company growth goals and culture.
  • Prepare internal and external correspondence and memos as needed
  • Successfully support operations in Chicago and surrounding Suburbs. Work in the company offices or at a customer location – this is not a remote/work from home role.
  • Join, participate and engage in networking groups, events and channels in the residential and multi‑family market.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of security operations‑related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Minimum 4 years of Management Experience, preferably in corporate security and guard force management.
  • Be able to demonstrate direct experience and success in the residential, multi‑family service sector.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Highly motivated, energetic, self‑directed individual with good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely while also sharing technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
  • Effectively lead team service delivery and development across the national environment.
  • Comfortable presenting information to large audiences both online and in person.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Strong customer and results orientation.
  • Capably work under pressure while maintaining a professional image and approach with clients.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suites
  • Experience with security guard force management software preferred
  • Must be able to pass pre‑employment screening
