Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement forward-thinking engineering strategies that align with the company’s goals and respond to market demands, with a strong emphasis on automation and advanced technological solutions.
  • Lead and manage the engineering team to drive innovation and the development of high-quality engineering solutions, prioritizing the integration of cutting-edge technologies and automation practices.
  • Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes not only conform to the organization's established policies and objectives but also advance technological boundaries within the industry.
  • Collaborate with other departments to seamlessly integrate progressive engineering solutions with business development and customer service initiatives, enhancing operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage budgeting and resource allocation among engineering projects, ensuring optimal investment in automation technologies and innovative practices.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement, encouraging the team to embrace and pioneer new engineering methods and tools.

  • Team Management: Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent skilled in cutting-edge technologies and automation. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization, integrating lean manufacturing principles and advanced technological practices.
  • Technology Innovation: Continuously monitor emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in automation and Artificial Systems Intelligence (ASI). Spearhead innovation initiatives to revolutionize manufacturing processes and operational efficiency, ensuring the adoption of state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage in close collaboration with manufacturing, R&D, sales, and marketing departments to synchronize engineering efforts with overarching business goals and evolving customer demands, focusing on technology-driven solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards, with a special focus on integrating advanced technologies.
  • Site & Facility Selection: Lead and participate in the site selection process for new or expanding manufacturing facilities, emphasizing the integration of advanced technological capabilities and automation readiness.
  • Construction Oversight: Oversee construction activities for manufacturing facilities, focusing on innovative architectural and engineering solutions that incorporate automation and technological advancements from the planning and design stages through to procurement and construction management.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support: Evaluate potential M&A targets from an engineering perspective, assessing technical feasibility and the capacity for operational integration of advanced technologies and automation.
  • Leadership of Engineering Teams: Direct a diverse team of Directors, Engineering Unit Managers, and staff, fostering an environment that encourages technological adeptness, mentorship, and the pursuit of engineering excellence.
  • Resource Allocation: Strategically allocate resources to maximize productivity and efficiency. Manage engineering budgets and timelines with an emphasis on investments in automation technologies and resource optimization.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address technical and operational risks, particularly those associated with new technologies and automation. Implement measures to ensure business continuity and resilience in a technologically advancing environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Required, with a preference for majors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering to provide a strong technical foundation.
  • Advanced Degree: An MBA, MS, or PhD in a related field is highly desirable, enhancing the candidate's strategic and analytical capabilities, particularly in areas relevant to advanced technologies and automation.
