Job summary

Alameda County Community Food Bank seeks a Vice President of Development to lead fundraising strategy and build a justice-centered fundraising platform. You will drive major gifts, grants, and donor engagement while shaping the development organization for scale and impact.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will align fundraising with Vision 2030, cultivate strategic partnerships, and lead a tenured team across programs, marketing, and volunteers to advance equity and community impact.

Qualifications

• Executive-level experience leading a complex, multi-function team and managing major gifts.
• Ability to lead organizational change and coordinate across leadership levels.
• Fluency in equity/justice principles in fundraising strategy.

Responsibilities

• Assess development functions and maximize impact across gifts, grants, donor programs and operations.
• Lead justice-centered fundraising and redesign donor engagement models at scale.
• Set multi‑million revenue targets and align forecasting with strategy.
• Develop and support a high‑performing development team and cross‑department collaboration.
