Overview

A newly independent U.S. business entity is seeking a Vice President of Information Technology to build and lead its entire U.S.-based technology organization. The VP of IT will report to executive leadership in the U.S. while partnering closely with the company’s European Head of IT to align global technology strategy, infrastructure design, and information security standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and scale the U.S. IT function — people, process, and technology — for a standalone organization.
  • Partner closely with the European Head of IT to align on global integration, system architecture, security, and technology standards.
  • Lead strategy and execution across infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP, data systems, networking, and support services.
  • Develop and implement a multi‑year IT roadmap that supports business objectives, modernization, and digital scalability.
  • Oversee cloud migration, network architecture, and systems consolidation as legacy platforms are replaced.
  • Lead ERP selection and implementation efforts, ensuring strong integration with finance, operations, and supply chain.
  • Build and manage internal IT staff while effectively leveraging outsourced and offshore resources.
  • Establish cybersecurity framework, data governance, disaster recovery protocols, and vendor/compliance standards.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, CFO, COO, and department leaders to ensure technology accelerates operational efficiency and commercial growth.
  • Present technology plans, risk assessments, capital requests, and performance updates to the Board.
Qualifications
  • Proven success leading IT organizations through build‑out, modernization, and transformation — ideally within manufacturing, distribution, or multi‑site environments.
  • Experience serving as the top IT leader (CIO/VP/Senior Director) with responsibility for full IT lifecycle, architecture, and security.
  • ERP implementation and integration experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with global leadership teams, including international counterparts.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, networking, cloud infrastructure, and data governance.
  • Track record of building teams, recruiting talent, and scaling internal + outsourced IT resources.
  • Excellent executive communication and board‑facing presentation skills.
