Job summary

Firematic Supply Company is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Human Resources & Operations to join the executive leadership team. The role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational excellence to support growth, leadership development, and culture preservation across multiple locations.

You will lead all HR functions, partner with senior leaders, and coach managers to build a high-performing organization while driving efficiency and accountability across the business.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day HR and operational initiatives.
• Lead all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, compliance, and HR systems.
• Coach and support managers, resolve complex employee issues, and help build a high-performing culture.
• Partner with department leaders to improve processes, accountability, communication, and operational efficiency.
• Lead organizational initiatives including growth, change management, and business process improvements.
• Develop practical, scalable systems and policies that support a growing multi-location organization.

What You’ll Bring

• Significant leadership experience in Human Resources, Operations, or both.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational development, and multi-state HR compliance.
• Experience partnering with senior executives while also being comfortable executing and following through on key initiatives.
• A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.
• Experience in a growing, privately held or family-owned business is preferred.
