Job summary

BankCherokee in Saint Paul, MN, seeks a Vice President of Human Resources to shape the employee experience from recruitment and onboarding through career development and leadership growth. This strategic partner will align people strategies with business goals while helping attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent.

As a trusted advisor and culture steward, you will lead a small HR team, coach leaders, and ensure compliance with employment law.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive HR experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in talent acquisition, employee development, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices; ability to coach leaders.
• Strong communication, judgment, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in HR/Business or related field; HR certification; banking experience preferred.
• Experience facilitating onboarding, employee and leadership training, EOS initiatives preferred.
