Goodman Community Center in Madison, WI is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Vice President of Human Resources to lead the People & Culture function on the executive team. Reporting to the President, you will shape workforce strategy, culture, and HR operations to support long-term mission impact.

You’ll steward workforce planning, compliance, employee relations, compensation strategy, HRIS, and analytics while partnering with leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Expertise in employee relations, organizational development and compliance.
• SHRM Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
• Lead workforce planning, organization design, and staffing strategy.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and workforce regulations.
• Oversee employee relations and investigations.
• Advise leadership on organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and risk.
• Drive performance management, culture initiatives, and change management.
• Manage HRIS and People & Culture partnerships.
• Lead compensation strategy, pay equity, and performance review processes.
• Manage HR operations, develop/refine policies, and analytics.
• Oversee HR budget, forecasting, and vendor partnerships.

We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven Vice President of Human Resources to lead our client’s People & Culture function. Reporting to the President and serving on the executive team, this role will drive workforce strategy, strengthen organizational culture, and ensure HR operations to support long-term mission impact.

Goodman Community Center provides mission-driven programming, youth workforce participation, community-centered operations, participant employment integration, within a multi-department organizational structure.
