In this role, you will be accountable for the execution and business impact of the engineering portfolio for Progress Sharefile

You will set the multi-year technology vision and lead the transformation, development, and scaling of high-performing global engineering organizations.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Driving delivery of differentiated, secure, reliable, and commercially successful products.
• Partnering closely with Product, Design, Security, Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Success to align engineering priorities with business outcomes.
• Developing executive-level talent and building leadership capacity across the organization.
• Ensuring engineering investments reflect customer needs, market dynamics, operational excellence, and company strategy.
• As an enterprise leader, you will play a central role in driving transformation, strengthening execution, and helping the company deliver meaningful customer and business impact.

Your background

Technical and Business Acumen

• Deep understanding of modern SaaS, cloud-native platforms, enterprise software, cybersecurity, data, AI, automation, and contemporary engineering operating models.
• Proven ability to connect technology strategy to business strategy, customer value, market differentiation, operational scale, and financial outcomes.
• Ability to anticipate market and technology shifts and translate them into actionable product, platform, and engineering strategies.

Transformation and Modernization

• Experience driving large-scale modernization, platform consolidation, architectural transformation, AI-assisted development adoption, and engineering productivity improvement.
• Strong executive judgment in portfolio prioritization, technical risk management, build-versus-buy decisions, vendor strategy, and investment tradeoffs.

Experience

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience, including leading global, large, distributed engineering organizations.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade SaaS, cloud, platform, data, AI, or mission-critical software products at scale.
• Enterprise architecture, platform modernization, cloud-native systems, and technology transformation.
• AI-enabled engineering productivity, automation, developer experience, and modern SDLC practices.
• SaaS operations, reliability engineering, scalability, observability, incident management, and cost optimization.
• Security, privacy, compliance, technical risk management, and secure software delivery.
• Executive communication, stakeholder influence, board-level storytelling, and cross-functional decision making.
• Global organizational design, workforce strategy, operating model design, and transformation leadership.
• Agile, Lean, DevOps, CI/CD, quality engineering, engineering metrics, and continuous improvement.

Base Salary Range: $260,000 - $300,000

This position is also eligible to participate in our performance-based annual corporate bonus plan. Final base compensation is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, education, demonstrable experience, and allowance for future and continued salary growth.
