Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Full-stack Engineer to join the AI Transformation Office in New York, NY. You will architect and deliver GenAI solutions across automation, workflows, and client‑facing tooling, while aligning with regulatory and risk controls.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of software engineering experience with AI‑native tools, strong Python/Java backend skills, and hands‑on LLM integration. This role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and architects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with AI-native tools.
• Hands-on Python and/or Java backend development.
• Experience with LLM integration via OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
• REST APIs and microservices architecture experience.
• Experience deploying on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Preferred: LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen experience.
• Preferred: Pinecone/Weaviate/pgvector for vector data.
• Preferred: Jira, Git and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship production‑grade GenAI and agentic automation end‑to‑end.
• Understand business problems and apply AI tooling to accelerate design.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and architects on AI‑powered solutions.
• Contribute to AI‑forward architecture standards and guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews with an AI‑first lens.
• Ensure compliance, risk management and secure use of AI.
