Job summary

BNY in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Senior Vice President, AI Engineer to lead architecture and delivery of GenAI and data products within the Wealth Services AI Garage. You’ll guide engineering accelerators, set patterns, and partner with business and infrastructure stakeholders to shape roadmaps.

The role requires 10–14 years of software, data or AI engineering experience with Python or Java, and deep expertise in agentic AI, RAG architectures, and platform/data engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• 10–14 years of software, data, or AI engineering experience.
• Experience building and scaling production AI systems.
• Deep expertise in agentic AI, RAG architectures, semantic technologies, platform engineering, or data engineering.
• Proven record of technical leadership without requiring direct people management.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design for GenAI solutions, agentic systems, and data products.
• Lead shared frameworks and engineering accelerators across delivery pods.
• Act as primary technical authority ensuring consistency of patterns and engineering excellence.
• Partner with business and infrastructure stakeholders to shape solution roadmaps.
• Establish observability, security, evaluation, governance, and operational readiness practices.
• Mentor engineers and review designs and production readiness.
