Job summary

New York Life is seeking a Corporate Vice President - Data Architect to lead our enterprise data strategy in a hybrid New York setting. You will design scalable data models, govern data assets, and collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product owners to enable cloud-based insurance solutions using AWS technologies.

You will drive architecture initiatives, ensure data quality and security, and stay ahead of industry trends in data management and analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience as a Data Architect for large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Deep understanding of modern data architecture including data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, relational and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Oracle, Postgres, MySQL and relational data model best practices.
• Experience designing, deploying, and evaluating tools and patterns for scalable data platforms.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud tools (RDS, Redshift, DMS, Glue, S3, Lambda).
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and efficient logical and physical data models for enterprise data products.
• Develop data management frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity and security.
• Collaborate with Data Product Owners, engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Lead data architecture initiatives and drive organizational change to improve outcomes.
• Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new data technologies and platforms.
