Job summary

WSP is seeking a Vice President/Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional to support our Earth and Environment Team in Shelton and Glastonbury, CT. You will lead complex environmental projects, manage senior client relationships and drive profitability while upholding technical standards.

This full-time role requires broad regulatory expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams, with travel as needed and a focus on client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Strong command of environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices and their business impact.
• Executive-level leadership, influence, analytical judgment and communication across senior management, clients and company-wide stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to business needs, varied schedules and occasional travel.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex environmental projects and multidisciplinary delivery, with accountability for budgets, profitability, performance, subcontractors and employees.
• Develop and expand a high-level client base; lead strategic proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, scope, pricing and cross-selling.
• Serve as a senior external representative with clients, agencies, subcontractors, industry groups and community or government entities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, technical quality, certifications and discipline standards; identify operational skill gaps and risks.
• Provide leadership and performance guidance to assigned staff and embed technical expertise and innovation into project work.
