Job summary

Landing Point is seeking a Compensation Accountant to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team in New York. The role focuses on accounting for incentive compensation and equity plans, with exposure to quarterly footnotes and leadership reports.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA or equivalent, 7+ years of compensation accounting experience, and a strong grasp of GAAP and internal controls. You will work with cross-functional teams, including HR and finance systems tools such as OneStream

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of compensation accounting experience.
• Experience preparing footnotes and equity roll forwards.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream, DFIN, JPM Workplace Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Establish monthly accounting processes for tracking incentive compensation and equity plans.
• Post entries to the general ledger.
• Support analysis, financial modeling, and internal reporting.
• Collaborate with HR and FP&A to understand financial trends and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly footnotes and compensation schedules for leadership and Board.
• Participate in “what if” scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Liaise with JPM Workplace Solutions Team.
• Enhance controls and document SOPs around processes.
• Implement carried interest software solution with HR.
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits around compensation areas.

Job Responsibilities

• Support activities providing analysis, financial modeling, and internal reporting.
• Access data from systems and work across departments to complete reports.

Compensation

Salary: $175,000 – $200,000, Plus Bonus
