Job summary

Compassionate leadership and a strong medical background are essential for the Vice President, Clinical Development role in a small biotech setting. The candidate will guide clinical strategy and oversee execution across programs from early development through pivotal trials and regulatory submissions.

We seek an MD with deep biotech/pharma experience, preferably with neuroscience or rare disease exposure, and a proven track record in leading cross-functional teams, trial design, and regulatory

Qualifications

• MD required with biotech/pharma development experience.
• Experience in neuroscience, CNS, and/or rare disease indications preferred.
• Proven lead of clinical development programs from early stage through Phase 2/3 and pivotal trials.
• Strong in designing clinical trials, development plans, and regulatory strategy.
• Experience contributing to IND, NDA, BLA, and/or MAA submissions and regulatory interactions.
• Strong medical oversight including medical monitoring, data review, and safety/efficacy interpretation.
• Demonstrated leadership, managing cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in a small biotech environment.

Vice President, Clinical Development | Biotech

We are hiring a Vice President of Clinical Development on behalf of one of our small biotech clients.

In this role, you will provide strategic and medical leadership across clinical development programs, overseeing clinical strategy and execution from early development through pivotal trials and regulatory submissions.

Key Experience & Qualifications:

• MD required, with significant clinical development experience within biotech/pharma.
• Experience in neuroscience, CNS, and/or rare disease indications strongly preferred.
• Proven experience leading clinical development programs from early stage through Phase 2/3 and pivotal trials.
• Strong experience designing clinical trials, developing clinical development plans, and shaping regulatory strategy.
• Experience contributing to IND, NDA, BLA, and/or MAA submissions and interactions with regulatory authorities.
• Strong medical oversight experience, including medical monitoring, clinical data review, and interpretation of safety and efficacy data.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing cross functional teams and external partners.
• Ability to balance strategic clinical development leadership with hands on involvement in a small biotech environment.
