Vice President/Executive Director, Clinical Development – Oncology

An innovative, clinical-stage biotech is seeking a senior Clinical Development leader to help drive a late-stage oncology program through its next phase of growth. This is a highly visible, hands‑on role reporting into executive leadership, with significant influence across strategy, study design, execution and regulatory interactions.

The company is advancing a promising solid tumour program with strong financial runway and a collaborative, low‑ego culture where individuals are expected to be both strategic and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development activities for a global oncology program
• Provide scientific and medical oversight across clinical trials from protocol design through data interpretation and regulatory submissions
• Partner cross‑functionally with Clinical Operations, Biometrics, Translational Sciences and external CROs/vendors
• Contribute to interactions with global regulatory agencies and key external stakeholders
• Support publication strategy, scientific presentations and broader development planning

Ideal Background

• MD or MD/PhD with significant biotech/pharma oncology development experience
• Strong track record leading oncology clinical programs, ideally with later‑phase exposure
• ADC and/or deep immuno‑oncology experience highly desirable
• Comfortable operating in a lean biotech environment with a “roll up your sleeves” mindset
• Experience working globally and engaging with regulatory authorities including FDA

This role suits an experienced VP‑level leader, though exceptional Executive Director candidates will also be considered. Candidates should be comfortable travelling to Boston regularly (approximately monthly) if not local.
