Job summary

Hw3 Llc on behalf of a biotech client seeks a Medical Director, Clinical Development to provide medical and scientific leadership across early phase oncology and hematology programs.

You will guide trial design, drive first‑in‑human and proof‑of‑concept studies, interact with regulatory teams, and oversee CROs and external partners while balancing strategic and hands‑on medical oversight in a small biotech environment.

Qualifications

• MD required with clinical development experience within biotech/pharma.
• Experience in oncology and/or hematology strongly preferred.
• Experience in early phase clinical development (Phase 1/2), including first in human, dose escalation, and dose expansion studies.
• Experience with clinical trial design, protocol development, and clinical development planning.
• Hands on experience with medical monitoring, clinical data review, and safety and efficacy assessments.
• Experience interpreting early clinical data to inform dose selection, development strategy, and go/no go decisions.
• Experience contributing to IND submissions, regulatory interactions, and clinical study reports.
• Ability to provide medical and scientific oversight to CROs, investigators, and external partners.
• Strong cross functional collaboration with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biometrics, and Drug Safety teams.
• Ability to balance strategic clinical development responsibilities with hands on medical oversight in a small biotech environment.
