About the Role

The Vice President of B2B Marketing powers our dealer business and drives a massive share of our commercial growth and requires senior, dedicated ownership.

As the Vice President of B2B Marketing, your core mission is to translate senior leadership’s vision into a high-performance B2B growth marketing machine. You will stand up and lead the function across our dealer and enterprise segments, turning a massive foundation of data and tens of thousands of dealer relationships into a coordinated, predictable engine for growth. Success in this role means establishing clear decision ownership, accelerating campaign velocity, maintaining strict team accountability, driving flawless execution and most importantly a simple and clear messaging and positioning strategy.

You will work alongside our Product, Business Analytics, Technology, Consumer Growth and most importantly our Dealer Business Unit (DBU) and our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Core Responsibilities
  • B2B Growth Marketing Machine. Architect and own the overarching growth marketing strategy. Translate high-level strategic objectives into explicit execution plans, driving campaign velocity and operational scale across B2B.
  • Product Marketing & Narrative. Own the product marketing roadmap, including positioning, packaging, and the creation of compelling product narratives/messaging for our core dealer product suite (CARFAX Advantage, CARFAX Car Listings, Car Care, Lifetime Dealer programs) alongside our enterprise data and add-on offerings.
  • B2B Brand and Positioning. Define how CARFAX shows up to dealers, certified programs, and data partners. Build a B2B identity that carries the trust of our brand.
  • Lifecycle and Retention. Grow adoption, retention, and revenue per dealer.
  • Demand Generation & Pipeline. Lead the B2B demand generation engine in absolute lockstep with the sales organization. Maintain full ownership of lead volume, pipeline health, and conversion quality across our dealer and sales team segments.
  • Dealer Co-Marketing and Channel Programs. Scale the programs that put CARFAX in dealer advertising, on the lot, and in the buying experience, and that help dealers win consumers throughout the lifecycle.
  • Sales Enablement. Equip the field sales team with the messaging, content, and tools that shorten cycles and lift win rates.
  • Field and Event Marketing. Own the CARFAX B2B presence at the industry moments that matter, including NADA and major dealer and OEM events.
  • Cross-Functional & DBU Alignment. Serve as the primary bridge between marketing and the Dealer Business Unit (DBU). Partner deeply with the CRO and field sales leadership to align marketing motions directly with sales targets and shorten sales cycles.
  • Marketing Ops & Technology. Build, modernize, and oversee the B2B marketing tech stack. Ensure infrastructure supports robust automation, data integrity, and deep full-funnel visibility.
  • Measurement & Fiscal Stewardship. Define the core B2B marketing metrics and KPIs that impact revenue. Report on performance with strict discipline, making budget tradeoffs explicit, and tie marketing spend directly to commercial ROI.
  • Leadership & Team Accountability. Define the expectations, feedback loops, and performance standards for your department. Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing team while instilling a culture of transparency and shared commitment.
Your First Year
  • Assess & Audit. Evaluate the current state of B2B marketing, including existing team capabilities, legacy programs, technology stacks, and historical spend to pinpoint high-leverage opportunities.
  • Org Design & Recruitment. Build and staff the future-state B2B marketing organization, hiring top-tier talent to fill critical capability gaps.
  • Establish GTM Rhythms. Formalize the cross-functional operating rhythm with our CRO, and product teams to sync planning, campaign execution, and reporting.
  • Define the System. Stand up the formal playbooks for strategy translation, execution tracking, and lead-to-revenue measurement.
  • Deliver Early Wins. Execute high-impact, visible campaign wins early on.
