Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company in Demopolis, Alabama is seeking a Reliability & Vibration Supervisor to lead vibration analysis and lubrication reliability programs, partnering with maintenance, planning, engineering and operations to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

You will mentor a team of vibration technicians and area lubricators, develop predictive maintenance strategies and data-driven routes, and drive continuous reliability improvements across the mill.

Qualifications

• Technical certification in vibration analysis, reliability, maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance, reliability, predictive maintenance, or related industrial experience.
• Experience with vibration analysis, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, or equipment reliability programs.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop employees.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Proficiency with computer-based maintenance and reporting systems, including data analysis and program development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mill's vibration analysis and lubrication programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Develop and maintain vibration monitoring routes and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Analyze and interpret vibration data to diagnose conditions and drive improvements.
• Coordinate lubrication routes, lubricant usage, and best practices for lubrication program.
• Supervise and develop a team of vibration technicians and area lubricators.
• Partner with planning, maintenance, engineering, and operations to prioritize workloads.
• Develop department objectives, training plans, and budget recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve asset performance and maintenance effectiveness.
• Utilize predictive maintenance technologies and reliability tools for data-driven decisions.
