Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead safety, environmental quality and maintenance productivity in the Alabama region. You will manage shutdowns, cost analysis, and five-year maintenance and capital plans while driving asset reliability improvements.

Reporting to the maintenance manager, you will mentor staff, oversee KPI tracking, and ensure adherence to the Work Management Process and company policies.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5 years' experience.
• Alternative: 10 years Operations/Maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Required: 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, environmental compliance, productivity and cost in the maintenance area.
• Lead planning, scheduling and execution of routine and shutdown maintenance.
• Develop asset strategies to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Monitor KPI performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Budgeting, cost forecasting and reporting for maintenance activities.
• Mentor and train maintenance personnel on systems and procedures.
