Job summary

Integral Senior Living in California is seeking an upbeat Vibrant Life Assistant to enrich seniors' lives in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. You will drive the community van, supervise outings, and assist with Vibrant Life activities, while coordinating the resident activity calendar and engaging residents in meaningful programs.

The role requires a valid driver's license, 18+ years old, and prior driving experience with elderly/dementia residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age due to driving requirement.
• High school education. Valid Class of Driver's License required by state for vehicle/van capacity.
• Prefer minimum of two years experience driving a vehicle/van. Prefer experience with elderly and dementia residents.

Responsibilities

• Operate property vehicle/van safely for daily outings and medical appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents on to and off of the vehicle/van.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating the vehicle/van; ensure vehicle/van inspection and driving standards.
• Act as a Vibrant Life staff member during outings and within the community.
• Participate in daily outings with residents, including supervision and assistance with personal care and activities.
• Assist with Vibrant Life activities and programs during and between trips.
• Ensure vehicle/van is in proper operational order; report safety or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain communication with the property using a cell phone and keep it charged.
• Report any observed resident safety concerns to supervisors.
• Train staff on proper loading/unloading of the vehicle and wheelchair lift usage.
• Maintain mandated reporter responsibilities for suspected resident abuse per CA regulations.
• Support marketing efforts through positive interactions during property tours and inquiries.
• Communicate changes of resident condition to supervisor promptly.
