Job summary

24 Hour Fitness invites a Group X Coach to deliver engaging group exercise programs, whether pre-choreographed or freestyle, to members and guests in person or via virtual platforms.

You will create a welcoming, encouraging and challenging environment, emphasize safe techniques, and strive to increase attendance while keeping the club clean, friendly and well maintained.

This position reports to the General Manager and interacts with all club staff, members and guests.

Qualifications

• Current approved group exercise certification for taught format.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous group exercise instruction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safe exercise techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coach pre-choreographed or freestyle group sessions and classes to a wide variety of members at varying fitness levels, in person or via virtual technology.
• Present group sessions in a welcoming, encouraging and challenging manner.
• Ensure safety and high quality of sessions by teaching safe techniques and guidelines.
• Increase member attendance through strong teaching and motivation.
• Find appropriate substitutes and manage class coverage as needed.
• Maintain a strong social media presence to attract participants and support events.
