Job summary

Savant of San Dimas is seeking an Activities Director to plan and oversee a stimulating program of activities for seniors, both inside and outside the Community.

You will lead the activities team, coordinate transportation if needed, and ensure safety and quality of programs. A high school diploma and experience with the elderly are required, along with First Aid certification and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience working with elderly.
• At least one year of experience providing planned activities or related education/training.
• Valid First Aid Certification.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Weekend coverage and on-call emergency availability on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a well-rounded and stimulating program of activities for seniors that fosters a positive atmosphere and meets their diverse needs.
• The primary responsibility is the organization, conduct, and evaluation of planned activities.
• Supervise activities/transportation staff, provide training, set and adjust rates of pay and hours of work.
