Job summary

Edlogical in Los Angeles is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students with visual impairments. The role centers on developing IEPs, delivering braille and mobility instruction, and integrating students into regular classes.

Qualifications

• State-specific Department of Education certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education; Master’s preferred.
• CA TVI Credential and background checks as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement IEPs with measurable goals based on assessments and learning continuums.
• Teach braille, orientation and mobility, and use of visual aids; integrate students into regular education.
• Develop curriculum activities aligned with objectives and support regular teachers.
• Maintain positive classroom management, monitor progress, and prepare daily lesson plans.
• Complete records accurately and comply with state regulations and timelines.
• Demonstrate stamina and adaptability for itinerant assignments and varied environments.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and share resources with colleagues.
