Job summary

Mars is hiring a Veterinary District Sales Manager – Royal Canin in the Hudson Valley and surrounding NY/NJ areas. This field-based role requires residency within the territory and daily engagement with veterinary clinics to drive business objectives.

You will translate clinic data into opportunities, develop territory plans, and build relationships with clinic decision-makers while delivering compelling, data-driven presentations. Occasional travel and reporting duties round out the position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Overnight travel required, approximately 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs.
Grow clinics within assigned geography by establishing relationships with decision-makers.
Deliver data-driven presentations to address veterinary staff needs.
Coordinate with BU and cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
Manage budget and reporting; complete CRM and expense reports timely.
