Job summary

ACCESS San Fernando Valley is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team as a Veterinary Technician Trainer. This role includes a strong sign-on and retention bonus program up to $10,000 for committed, long-term team members.

The position focuses on training and mentoring technicians in a hospital setting. As the trainer, you will develop coursework, schedule sessions, administer exams, and participate in interviews for new hires, while upholding ACCESS values of Quality,

Qualifications

• RVT certification and 3+ years in a large hospital setting.
• Experience teaching or training within a veterinary setting.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, clinical procedures, animal handling, and terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for education and mentorship.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Train technical staff per hospital training objectives and standards.
• Schedule and run all technical training meetings and classes.
• Develop outlines, texts, handouts, tests, and practical exercises.
• Administer exams and monitor technical performance with leads.
• Assist in interviews and skill assessments for new hires.
• Coordinate training across multiple shifts to maximize exposure.
• Support onboarding of new technicians to home hospital.
• Uphold ACCESS values in all tasks.
