Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Spring, TX is seeking a motivated Veterinary Technician Trainer to join our team. The Trainer is an active RVT/LVT/CVT and will support training for technicians and assistants across one or more hospitals.

You will foster education, ensure continuing education for staff, and help implement new training programs while enhancing patient care and collaboration with hospital teams. The role involves documenting training progress and coordinating with a national Trainer.

Qualifications

• Maintain RVT/LVT/CVT in accordance with state laws.
• High School Diploma required
• Possession of Vet Technician skill level III or greater required. Previous experience as a BluePearl Veterinary Technician (skill level IV or VTS) is preferred.
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver effective training required. Previous supervisory capacity or background in education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency of department and level Veterinary Technician competencies; schedule as an active Veterinary Technician.
• Facilitate staff training for all technicians and assistants within assigned hospital(s).
• Ensure staff has adequate continuing education.
• Work to implement any new global training program BluePearl requires of the hospital.
• Implement new, company-wide training programs as needed.
• Elevate the level of patient care through education within the hospital(s).
• Foster effective working relationships between technicians/assistants and other hospital staff.
• Document staff training status and updates; provide management with written reports and emails; retain documentation of employee accomplishments and follow-through on training programs.
• Partner with the national Technician Trainer to assist in developing new programs, digital content, recruitment programs or other efforts to retain and train staff.
