Job summary

Belle Plaine Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician for full- or part-time roles in a busy practice serving Belle Plaine and surrounding communities. You will support veterinarians in exams, anesthesia, dentistry, and surgery, with responsibilities including anesthesia monitoring, sample collection, and client education.

Flexible shifts include full-time 32–40 hours per week, with options for part-time.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a veterinary technician preferred.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in exams, anesthesia, and surgery as needed.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights; provide client education.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Collect samples and perform in-hospital lab testing; prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take digital radiographs following safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and assist team members.
