Job summary

Belle Plaine Animal Hospital in Belle Plaine, MN is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will support veterinarians in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, lab testing, and client education.

Full-time option 32–40 hours weekly on 4–5 shifts; part-time also available. Competitive hourly pay of $20–$22 depending on experience, with benefits including PTO, health/dental/vision, retirement, and professional development.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in MN or eligible.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; with assistance for heavier lift.
• Basic computer skills and ability to calculate medication dosages.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine, surgery, and other tasks as needed.
• Assist outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights; provide client education.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Obtain samples and perform in-hospital lab testing; prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take digital radiographs following safety procedures.
• Provide basic animal handling and restrain animals during exams.
• Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Maintain and restock exam rooms and equipment; support team to keep public areas clean.
