Job summary

CityVet Saratoga Springs is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. A Veterinary Technician Assistant will be considered with at least 1 year of experience. The VT supports veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery, monitoring post-op, and handling lab work and client communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Understanding and ability to restrain animals safely.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient prep, anesthesia, radiography, and lab work.
• Monitor patients post-op and restrain animals during exams.
• Obtain samples (stool, blood, etc.) and help interpret results.
• Administer medications and provide client care instructions.
• Support Client Service Specialist team as needed.
