Job summary

CityVet Spring is seeking a Veterinary Technician (VT) to join our vet-led clinic. The VT helps veterinarians by preparing patients for surgery, taking X-rays, collecting lab samples, and assisting with exams.

We value compassionate care, safety, and teamwork. A minimum of 3 years in the veterinary field, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to restrain animals safely.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medications.
• Lift 50 lbs and perform frequent standing/bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery and administering anesthesia; take X-rays and gather lab specimens.
• Obtain samples (stool, blood, etc.) for testing.
• Test samples and help interpret results.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as directed by the DVM.
• Communicate with clients about medical plans and post-care instructions.
• Support Client Service Specialist team when needed.
