Veterinary Technician - Surgery

Culver City, CA


*$3,000 Sign On Bonus available for experienced technicians*


Who we are

Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24-hour Emergency services, where our technicians encounter all sorts of cases working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. Our hospital features numerous specialty departments, providing unique experiences such as assisting a Macaw with a broken beak, working in advanced operating rooms, observing orthopedic surgeries, or operating MRI machines. We are suited for those who love caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced, renowned hospital environment.


Role Responsibilities:
  1. Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  2. Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  3. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  4. Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on memberships, medications, and treatments.
  5. Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems.
  6. Obtain health history from clients and maintain medical charts.
  7. Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
  8. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a veterinary technician working extensively in specialty surgeries.
  • Enjoy being a key team player providing high-standard patient care.
  • Comfortable caring for dogs, cats, or other animals requiring emergency or urgent care.
  • Embody core values: service, compassion, integrity, and quality.

Compensation:

Non-Credentialed Assistants: $21/hr - $30/hr


Licensed Technicians: $25/hr - $38/hr


VTS: $40/hr


Pay to be determined by skills assessment.
