Job summary

Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center in Upland, CA, is seeking a Technician Supervisor to perform medical technical duties and to schedule and supervise the department staff. The role supports patient care standards and runs the department efficiently, with leadership by example.

You will oversee billing, records, and invoicing while ensuring timely communication with clients and doctors in a busy 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital serving the region.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current RVT/LVT/CVT license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, at least 2 in emergency or specialty settings.
• Prior supervisory or lead technician experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of emergency medicine, anesthesia, surgery, triage and critical care nursing.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff; strong client service skills.
• Experience with staff scheduling and performance coaching.
• Proficiency with veterinary practice management software and EMR.
• Commitment to teamwork, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain processes for medical record keeping and billing.
• Collect and process work charts and enter in-patient charges.
• Assist with invoicing, payments, and monthly statements.
• Resolve financial issues with clients and monitor accounts receivable.
• Prepare and mail invoices or statements as requested.
• Be dependable and punctual; lead by example in a fast-paced emergency environment.
