BluePearl Pet Hospital in Downtown Manhattan NYC is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor who can motivate, engage, and develop a team of veterinary professionals.

The ideal candidate will have advanced technical skills and a passion for training and mentoring, plus strong communication, time management and organizational abilities. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, coordinating training, and collaborating with hospital leadership to address patient and client needs.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities in a veterinary setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in veterinary nursing and patient care workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
• Coach team members to be proactive at addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated situations.
• Work with hospital leadership to organize tech and assistant meetings.
• Organize training schedules for Patient Care staff.
• Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
• Provide feedback leadership and work to develop performance improvement plans.
• Other related duties as assigned.
