This hands-on leadership role blends clinical credibility with mentorship, problem-solving, and operational improvement, shaping department standards and contributing to exceptional patient care and team culture.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead through mentorship and example.
• Credential Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT) preferred.
• Strong communication skills, especially under pressure.
• Ability to balance high standards with empathy and practical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop technicians and veterinary assistants in your department.
• Collaborate with specialists, emergency clinicians, and hospital leadership to maintain patient care standards.
• Establish and maintain clear clinical, behavioral, and operational expectations.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and career development through defined leveling frameworks.
• Improve workflows, communication, and patient safety while ensuring staffing stability.
