VCA Rotherwood Animal Hospital has been fortunate to work with pets and their people in the Newton community, for more than 45 years. This longevity has allowed us to develop lasting client relationships that span generations, of people and pets both! We are a three doctor, small animal practice that believes in the importance of dedicated client and patient care. We have a strong focus on preventative medicine, and strive to collaborate with pet parents to improve medical outcomes for our patients. In the supervisor role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Directing work flow on the floor
  • Assist in the educational development of technicians and their skills
  • Help with the interview process for potential new hires
  • Technician scheduling
  • Assist in staffing and coverage where needed
  • Assist in basic protocol and standard procedure training
  • Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
  • Mentoring technicians within the department
  • Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
  • Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff
