Job summary

VCA Chancellor Animal Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor. This full-time role offers a signing bonus opportunity and a pay range of $31-$32 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The hospital recently earned AAHA accreditation and serves a multi-generational client base with compassionate, professional care. The supervisor will lead the Technician team, mentor staff, manage workflows, and participate in interviews and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Credentials CVT, RVT or LVT required.
• Ability to lead and supervise veterinary technicians.
• Strong client communication and patient care focus.

Responsibilities

• Direct on-floor workflow and supervision of technicians.
• Mentor and develop technicians’ clinical skills.
• Assist in interview process for new hires and staffing.
• Schedule technicians and support coverage as needed.
• Contribute to protocol training and policy implementation.
• Collaborate with doctors to maintain high care standards.

• Technician Scheduling

• Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
• Mentoring technicians within the department
• Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
