Job summary

VCA Palmer Animal Hospital in Palmer, MA is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant to lead as Technician Supervisor. This full-time role combines hands-on care with team leadership to enhance patient outcomes and client experience.

You will direct workflow on the floor, support education and mentoring of technicians, participate in interviewing and scheduling, and uphold VCA standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a CVT or experienced RVT/assistant with leadership potential.
• Ability to lead a team and manage technician workflows.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service.

Responsibilities

• Directing workflow on the hospital floor and supervising technicians.
• Assist in interviewing and scheduling of staff.
• Mentor technicians and develop clinical protocols with doctors.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and standards.

In the supervisor role, yourresponsibilities will includebut notbelimited to:

• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
• Help with the interview process for potential new hires
• Technician Scheduling
• Assists in staffing and coverage where needed
• Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experienceMentoring technicians within the department
• Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
• Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

compensation: $25 - $30 / hr
