Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician education is required in the state where the hospital is located.
• At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice or technician role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be compassionate and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain weight and vital signs, and document visit history.
• Assist veterinarian with exams, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, collect lab samples, and dispense medications per doctor directions.
• Maintain electronic medical records and update inventories and client/patient records.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia during procedures, and assist with post‑op recovery.
• Provide in‑hospital treatments and manage basic patient care (feeding, hydration).
• Contribute to staff training and ensure a clean, organized hospital environment.
• Provide backup front desk support as needed.
