Job summary

Onslow Animal Hospital in Jacksonville, NC is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Technician. The role supports patient care, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment.

Qualifications

• Veterinary assistant/technician with strong technical skills in veterinary care.
• Experience in anesthesia monitoring and client communication.
• Dependable team player with good attendance and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care, surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics.
• Support DVMs during appointments, exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform restraining, catheter placement, and injections as needed.
• Communicate treatment plans and patient updates to clients.
• Ensure medical records are complete and accurate.
• Collaborate with team to improve workflow and hospital efficiency.
• Participate in continuing education and hospital improvement efforts.
• Contribute to a positive, team-first work environment.
